PML-N to protest against corruption in country

PML-N will stage protest outside the Parliament House today (Wednesday).

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced to set up a protest camp outside the Parliament House against rampant corruption in the country and Mian Nawaz Sharif will also participate therein.Talking to the media, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Ch Nisar that his party had decided to reactivate its protest programme afresh and in this connection the other political parties have also been contacted. The objective of setting up of the protest camp is to raise voice in and outside the parliament so that rulers could be forced to take steps for ensuring good governance, he added.From next month, the PML-N would launch movement from Lahore in the next phase of protest campaign, he maintained.Responding to a question, Ch Nisar said that he had received a letter from President Zardari with reference to appointment of NAB Chairman. The PML-N meeting has been summoned, today, and would evolve its stance on the issue after consultation with other opposition parties, he added. He stated the way Prime Minister held a meeting with the nominated NAB Chairman, Fasih Bokhari was not appropriate as it was not an executive office. “We all will have to respect this post”, he remarked.The NAB Chairman should such a person who should hold ruling party as well as opposition accountable indiscriminately, he underlined. Credibility of NAB would not improve unless such person was inducted, he added.Following the announcement of verdict by Supreme Court it was not proper that President Asif Zardari sends a name to us and Prime Minister meets this person next day, he said adding nation does not want such chairman. About joining PPP by his cousins he said PPP should worry about Nawab Shah as people of Rawalpindi know who is fake and who is genuine.
