Al Qaeda releases hit list of 40 Americans

US politicians, intellectuals and heads of business organisations are included in the new list.

According to an American newspaper, the hit list has been uploaded at an Al Qaeda website. Pictures of the 26 out of 40 people, along with their postal addresses, have also been uploaded.According to the newspaper, the reason behind uploading the postal addresses might be for the information of Al Qaeda members to send parcel bombs to these persons.Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) has asked the US law enforcement department to beef up security of those who have been listed in the hit list.
