NA body on defence approves Army Act Amendment bill
Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak congratulated the entire country and the opposition parties
ISLAMABD (Dunya News) – National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence on Monday unanimously approved the three bills concerning tenures of the services chiefs and the chairman of joint chief of staff committee.
The amendments were passed unanimously by the body during a meeting held to approve the Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill 2020, the Pakistan Air Force (Amendment) Bill 2020 and the Pakistan Navy (Amendment) Bill 2020.
The session was chaired by Defence Minister Pervez Khattak in which Chairman Standing Committee on Defence Amjad Khan and other government representatives were also present.
Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak congratulated the entire country and the opposition parties on the passage of the amendments, adding that these bills will now be put up for voting in the NA tomorrow.
