First round of Pak-India talks over Sir Creek dispute concludes

First round of Pak-India talks concluded and both countries exchanged maps of Sir Creek.

The talks were held in at the Ministry of Defence in Rawalpindi where new maps of Sir Creek were handed over to Indian delegation, whereas the new survey and the maps were also handed over to Pakistan by the Indian side.The second round of the talks would be held tomorrow, after which, a joint declaration would be issued.S. Subba Rao, Surveyor General of India is leading his country’s delegation while Additional Secretary Ministry of Defence; Rear Admiral Shah Sohail Masood is heading the Pakistani side.The talks on Sir Creek dispute were suspended in 2007 after Mumbai attacks.
