Senators criticised the government on the issue of Abbottabad operation.

Calling the present situation dire and critical, the senators from the opposition as well as the ruling parties strongly criticised the government.They said that the President and the Prime Minister should take the nation into confidence on the issue of the Abbotabad operation that resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden.Discussing the issue, Raza Rabbani said the US operation was a complete violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and the nation was waiting for parliament’s reaction in this matter. He demanded that in-camera briefing be given to the National Defence Committee on the Abbottabad operation.PML-N leader Ishaq Dar said if the government takes steps in the interest of the country, the opposition will support them. JUI senator Abdul Rashid said that the security department failed to defend the country.Senator Abdul Malik said that a big share of the GDP goes to the defence expenditures but the American commandos successfully completed the operation after jamming our radar system.
