Safia barred politicians from doing politics on her sister's murder.

KOHAT (Dunya News) – Slain medical student Asma Rani’s sister Safia on Wednesday has requested the federation and provincial government to work together for the arrest of prime suspect Mujahid Afridi, who flew abroad.

Exclusively talking to Dunya News in London, Safia barred politicians from doing politics on her sister’s murder. She further appealed Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to ensure early justice.

Earlier, Supreme Court (SC) had ordered the PTI Kohat president Aftab Alam to bring back his nephew Mujahid Afridi accused of killing Asma over marriage refusal.

Alam was told that he should bring his nephew back to the country himself to retain his respect or else the authorities can force him back by using the help of Interpol. CJP assured Alam that they will provide protective bail.

KP IG also appeared before the court and guaranteed transparent investigation. “There is no political pressure,” he claimed.

Despite the summon, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry did not appear before the top court. His brother Faisal Chaudhry pleaded to omit the party’s name from the case which the CJP rejected.

SC will hear the case next after one week.
