PPP to challenge Electoral Reforms Bill in SC

PPP decided to challenge Section 203 of the Electoral Reforms Bill, 2017 in the Supreme Court.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday has decided to challenge Section 203 of the Electoral Reforms Bill, 2017 in the Supreme Court, Dunya News reported.

The decision to move SC against the Electoral Reforms Bill, 2017 was take at a PPP high level meeting held at the Zardari House in Islamabad. PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari chaired the meeting.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, Senator Farook Naik, Sardar Lateef Khosa, Syed Nayyar Bukhari, Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Rehman Malik, Tanvir Kaira, Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad and Senator Farhatullah Babar.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that the meeting also decided that Sardar Latif Khosa will head the team of PPP lawyers in the case.
