NADRA starts issuing 'Afghan Citizen Card' to refugees
Thirty Afghan families are being registered per day.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started issuing ‘Afghan Citizen Card’ after compiling the records of refugees.
According to details, 700 Afghan immigrants of 130 families were registered in one week, and data of thirty families is being entered per day. An office has been built for this purpose in Quetta Town near Sohrab Goth area. The process will continue for six months.
On the other hand, NADRA officials are concerned due to lack of security officers. The special team of NADRA is registering Afghan refugees under the supervision of relative Afghan ministry, Afghan consulate and Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (Safron).
