PTI chairman recalled his unpleasant memories of 1987 match against India in Ahmedabad

(Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said in a recent interview that relations between Pakistan and India stand at worse during the present time.

Imran Khan pointed out that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has relations with Hindu-extremist groups which is why it is difficult to establish good relations. He also put forth the allegations of mass murders of Muslims when Modi was Gujrat chief minister. “Modi disappointed Muslims worldwide including those in Pakistan after coming to power,” he said while recalling hopes of improvement in him.

He recalled his unpleasant memories of 1987 match against India in Ahmedabad where the crowd showed a bad attitude with the tourists. He told that he was only five-year-old when the two countries achieved freedom from British occupation. Imran Khan stated that he never hoped the crowd will misbehave with players on the boundary by throwing stones, saying cricket is not just a sport when matches are played between India and Pakistan.

Talking about Independence Day, he said 70 years of Independence is a special occasion and celebrations are at their peak. “I was five-year-old when India split into two countries,” he told while admitting the pain of partition which people used to bear.
