Presser confrontations: Uzma Kardar interrupts Marriyum Aurangzeb
Uzma Kardar cited hot weather for interrupting Marriyum's presser
(Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have been going at it since General Elections 2013 and what it has really come down to is ‘dais claims’ and ‘nudged-pressers’.
Uzma Kardar of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) interrupted state minister Marriyum Aurangzeb’s media briefing over Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) hearing among leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), for “being too long.”
Kardar among PTI representatives was waiting in the sun and cited hot weather for the interruption.
“We are standing under the hot sun for a long time now but have been unable to get our turn to speak [to media],” Kardar said. “You have been addressing the media for more than an hour now,” Express Tribune quoted Kardar.
Earlier on May 30, leaders of PML-N were seen addressing the media in Islamabad using a dais that was exclusive to them as they were left high and dry by PTI once before that.

Naeemul Haq of PTI had addressed a press on the May 30 and as he concluded his brief, workers of PML-N shifted the dais to backseat of his four-wheel drive. Daniyal Aziz, leader of PML-N who was to address next seemed troubled.
In the days that followed, workers of PML-N and PTI were seen carrying separate rostrums for party leaders to address press conferences.
