PTI announces to boycott Geo/Jang Group
PTI chairman took a jibe at the media house in some of his recent tweets
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to boycott Geo and Jang media groups once again as the party sources claimed that the media group has been lopsidedly covering the ongoing Panama Papers case, reported Dunya News on Saturday.
In a statement released by the party, it was revealed the party will withdraw its representation from all forums being run by the group.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI had also boycotted the media group in 2014 over its alleged role in electoral rigging during the 2013 general elections.
Meanwhile, PTI chairman Imran Khan has also said that it is not the responsibility of a particular media house to protect corruption and money laundering of a family and that also for its personal financial interests.
PTI chairman took a jibe at the media house in some of his recent tweets.
"Godfather of media, MSR, has taken it upon himself, after generous gifts of govt ads, to protect the corruption of Godfather Sharif," he said in a tweet.
"It is unethical & immoral for a media house to protect the corrupt, the money launderers, asset concealers & tax evaders. Simply unacceptable," Imran added.

In the garb of freedom of expression certain media house owners are actually protecting their own interests.
