Notification says male students, female students are directed not to talk outside classes

(Web Desk) – It was reported that an alleged notice of Shah Abdul Latif University bars male and female students to refrain from unnecessary interaction. It directs boys and girls that they would be  liable for serious action’ if they were seen talking to one another outside the classes.

The notification was reportedly issued in Shikarpur Campus of the Shah Abdul Latif University. It allegedly belongs to the Department of Business Administration.

It starts off by directing students not to move outside their respective departments. It says, “No student from parent department will move in the corridor of unconcerned or other department.”

Then the notice goes on to stop boys from going near to girls’ common room area. Also, it asks students to avoid from practices such as staying in campus for late hours. Till this point, the notice makes sense.

However, it ultimately orders male and female students to stop unnecessary interaction outside classrooms. “They are directed not to talk outside classes”, it says.

University of Swat bans girls, boys from mingling together

This raises concerns as it is clearly mentioned that ‘strict action’ could be taken against students for involvement in all the stated practices. The alleged notification even warns boys and girls that their ‘parents would be informed’ in any of the above cases.

On the other hand, the university administration clearly denied issuing such notice. Reportedly, the university registrar took notice of the matter and ordered a probe. The formal approval was given by Parkash Lal of the Student Affair Committee at Shikarpur Campus which further raises concerns on the matter.

Earlier, such a notice was seen at the University of Swat where girls and boys were banned from mingling together at the campus.
