Girl doused with acid in public in Lahore
The attack took place in Thokar Niaz Baig area.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A 25-year-old girl was doused with acid in Thokar Niaz Baig area of Lahore on Saturday night.
According to police, two suspects riding on a motorbike attacked the girl. Initial investigation reveals that she was attacked over personal grudge.
The victim has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
Police have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspects. The victim’s mobile phone data has been obtained and her family members’ statements have also been recorded.
Policemen are investigating the incident
Acid attacks are common in Pakistan with scores of such assaults taking place each year. Victims are left with horrendous injuries and are often blinded.
