LAHORE: (Dunya News) – A summary to start Punjab Assembly session on February 27 has on Wednesday been rejected as the security of Pakistan Super League (PSL) final has been considered as the top priority, reported Dunya News.

According to detail, a summary for calling the Punjab Assembly session on February 27 has been rejected as the government and security institutions are busy preparing for PSL final which is to be held on March 5. The summary was rejected by Law Minister Rana Sanaullah. The session will now begin after the PSL final, on March 6.

The provincial law minister has rejected the summary saying that all the security departments will be busy providing security to PSL final. He said that the security of Punjab Assembly had to be made foolproof in view of Charing Cross tragedy and it would be tough to provide security for both the assembly and the PSL final at the same time.

Rana Sanaullah said that special arrangements for security have to be made in Lahore in view of the PSL final. He added that it had earlier been decided to hold the Punjab Assembly session on February 27 and 28 but now it has been postponed to March 6.
