Renowned author Bano Qudsia passes away at 88

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The widow of admirable Urdu novelist Ashfaq Ahmed and a renowned writer, playwright and spiritualist herself Bano Qudsia dies at the age of 88 on Saturday. She was born on November 28, 1928.

She has written numerous books in Urdu language in which her famous novel ‘Raja Gidh’ is amongst the most read novels in Urdu. Bano Qudsia was not well for the past few years. Moreover, one of her plays  Adhi Baat  is considered to be a classic.

She was hospitalised during the last ten days of her life. Her family includes three sons, their wives and grandchildren.

Her funeral has not been announced yet, however, the body has been transferred to her house in Model Town.
