Crackdown against Uber, Careem cars in Islamabad
Unregistered taxi cars of various taxi service providers considered a security risk
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The unregistered taxies belonging to different taxi service companies like Uber, Careem and City Cab are being considered a security risk.
The Islamabad deputy commissioner has given orders for crackdown against such private transport companies that have unregistered vehicles.
After the order, Transport Authority secretary Jawad Muzaffar took action against unregistered taxi vehicles in Uber, Careem and other taxi providers. “The crackdown is not just against one or two companies. It is against all unregistered companies”, he told.
