Army Transfers, postings: Naveed Mukhtar appointed ISI DG
Lt Gen Asim Bajwa appointed as Arms IG, Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar appointed as NDU President
RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar has on Sunday been appointed as the Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), reported Dunya News.
Lt Gen Bilal Akbar, the former Director General (DG) of Sindh Rangers, has been appointed Chief of General Staff as new transfers and postings are made in Pakistan army. Former Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa has now been appointed as Arms Inspector General (IG) while Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) DG Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar has been appointed as President of National Defence University (NDU).
According to ISPR, former Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Hayat ur-Rehman has been appointed as Training and Evaluation IG. Recently promoted Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal will continue to work as IG of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). Lt Gen Qazi Ikram has been appointed as Chief of Logistics.
Lt Gen Sher Afgan has been posted as Bahawalpur Corps Commander. Lt Gen Nazeer Butt is the new Peshawar Corps Commander now. Lt Gen Humayun Aziz has been appointed as C&IP IG while Lt Gen Naeem Ashraf has been appointed as Chairman of Heavy Industry, Taxila.
