No check on use of govt helicopter in KP, two government helicopters used 400 times in three years
PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – No check is probably being observed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the use of government helicopters as the two helicopters were used 400 times during the last three years, reported Dunya News.
According to official documents, the two helicopters owned by KP government were used over 400 times during the last three years.
A total of Rs 179.5 million were spent on the oil and maintenance of the helicopters. Interestingly, the chiefs of the allied parties in KP government, Imran Khan and Siraj ul-Haq, also repeatedly used the helicopters.
Imran Khan used the helicopters 43 times while Siraj ul-Haq used it once. The government helicopter repeatedly transported Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan from his Bani Gala residence to Nowshehra.
Three governors of KP used the helicopters 128 times in three years. Police IG Nasir Khan Durrani and KP Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser used the helicopters 13 and 8 times respectively.
