Woman shifted to Multan's Nishtar Hospital in motorcycle rickshaw
Nusrat Bibi was shifted to hospital in a motorcycle rickshaw.
MULTAN (Dunya News) - The appalling case of apathy was reported in Multan where administration of Nishtar Hospital refused to provide ambulance for the female patient.
Resident of village Labir, Nusrat Bibi, was to be shifted to Nishtar Hospital for a surgery. Owing to dire situation, family of Nusrat Bibi requested for ambulance but their plea was overturned by hospital administration.
Left with no other option, Nusrat Bibi was brought to hospital in a loader rickshaw.
Livid at the hospital administration, relatives of female patient lashed out at the government, saying the authorities have failed in fulfilling their promises of providing basic health facilities to the masses.
Earlier, in a similar hapless incident that happened at Lahore’s MAO hospital, dead body of woman was shifted on donkey cart by her husband.
