Indian forces target Shahkot sector near LoC: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing in Shahkot sector of the Line of Control on Saturday morning.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), firing began at 7:40 a.m and is still continuing.
No damage or loss of life has been reported so far.
Pakistan Army has befittingly responded to the Indian firing.
Earlier on Friday, the Director General (SA & SAARC), Dr. Mohammad Faisal, summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. J.P. Singh, and strongly condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations on 27 October 2016, by the Indian Forces at the Working Boundary in Shakargarh sector and on the LoC in Nakial sector resulting in martyrdom of six civilians including two women and injuries to twenty two civilians.
The Director General urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding and investigate the continued incidents of ceasefire violations.
The Indian Deputy HC was also asked to instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit, and stop targeting the villages and civilians to maintain peace on the Working Boundary and the LoC.
