Rangers befittingly responded to Indian firing.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – India’s Border Security Force (BSF) opened to unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary in Shakargarh sector on Friday.

According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian forces target Chak Amroo village. However, no loss of life or property has been reported.

“Pakistan Rangers Punjab befittingly responded to Indian firing which continued from 0900 to 0930 hours,” it added.

Earlier on Wednesday, one civilian identified as 28-year-old Abdul Rehman S/o Gul Zaman, was martyred and twelve other including children women were injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian forces in village Palani at Line of Control in Karela sector.

To protest against the incident, the Indian Deputy High Commissioner was called in by the Director General (SA & SAARC) on Thursday.

It was conveyed that the Indian side must investigate the incident and share the findings with Pakistan, India must instruct its troops to respect the Ceasefire, in letter and spirit, and refrain from intentionally targeting the villages and maintain peace and stability on the LoC.

Pakistan noted with deep concern that during the last couple of months, there have been a number of ceasefire violations from the Indian side on the LoC and the Working Boundary.
