Neither the government nor the military fear empty rhetoric of India: Interior Minister

TAXILA (Dunya News) – Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has warned Indian government on Monday that the nation and civil leadership of the country are united at every level against unjust aggression of Narendra Modi-led government against Pakistan.

The federal minister addressed the media in a visit to Taxila today.

Reiterating Pakistan’s stance against steps taken by Indian government to wage a possible war, Nisar said that neither the government nor the military feared empty rhetoric of India.

He said that the entire nation was united against India in case any coercive force was used against Pakistan. Adding to that the Interior Minister called for the people to beware of Indian tatics and remain united.

He raised the issue of Indian interference on Pakistani soil holding neighbouring agencies responsible for numerous terror attacks in different cities over a lengthy period of time.

Nisar also called for different political parties to recede their ‘point-scoring’ politics and show solidarity in name of the country. He further said that the unity should not be in mere statements but in practicality, on the ground.

The Interior Minister lambasted Narendra Modi saying that his recent statements have shown the world who sided with extremist approach and which country favoured peace initiatives and resolution of outstanding issues through talks.

He had never seen leader of any country resort to the kind of language that Modi did, Nisar said.

Nisar’s response to Indian aggression has come in after a series of latest developments between the two neighbours.

Modi had chaired a meeting of chiefs of all three armed forces in war room in New Delhi last week after which ordnance was shifted to the Line of Control which as then reported by a British news agency, could target Azad Kashmir region.

India shifted to war mode after failure to defend occupation of held Kashmir in the United Nations Organisation over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech in the 71st session of the General Assembly on Wednesday last week that highlighted India-sponsored brutality in the valley for over seven decades.
