New York visit focused on Kashmir dispute: Maleeha Lodhi
The premier convened meetings with Theresa May, John Kerry among others
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Permanent envoy of Pakistan to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi and Secretary of the Foreign Office, Aizaz Chaudhry briefed the media on Tuesday about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s engagements through the course of United States visit.
While addressing the media, Lodhi said that Pakistan’s focus in different meetings on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly session is to stress right to determination of Kashmiris.
She said that the delegation present in New York for the session of General Assembly is focusing entirely on Kashmir dispute and is poised to let the world powers know that Pakistan is not going to compromise over Kashmir.
Chaudhry disclosed that the premier held a meeting with Britain’s fresh Prime Minister, Theresa May which was the first ever meeting between the two.
He further said that majority of the time that the two premiers met for, South Asia and Kashmir dispute remained the focus of the discussion. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif urged British May to play role in helping Kashmiris get their right to determination and freedom from occupying forces.
The premier also convened a session with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Nayef and United States Secretary of State, John Kerry individually.

It should be mentioned here that a report was also moved about situation in Kashmir in OIC conference on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly session.
The meeting was attended by Azad Jammu and Kashmir President, Masood Khan, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz among ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and others.
