Karachi unrest: COAS orders immediate arrest of those behind spreading violence
Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar assured Gen. Raheel that those spreading violence will be arrested tonight
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday telephoned Rangers Director General (DG) Major General Bilal Akbar and directed him to arrest those who attacked the office of a private news channel in Karachi at the earliest, reported Dunya News.
COAS discussed the situation in Karachi with Rangers DG. Army chief directed the immediate arrest of the elements involved in spreading violence in the city and stated that the situation of law and order needs to be maintained at all costs.
Rangers DG briefed the army chief over the entire situation of the city and stated that situation was under control. Major General Bilal Akbar assured General Raheel that those involved in spreading violence shall be apprehended tonight.
