Rains turns weather pleasant in different Punjab cities
Meteorological department has forecast heavy rain in coming 24 hours
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rain in different parts of Punjab has turned the weather pleasant while Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain, reported Thursday.
It rained in the early morning in Kasur, Sheikhupura, Daska, Gujranwala and other cities. However, low-lying areas are vulnerable to puddles of rain water due to bad drainage.
Meteorological department has forecast heavy rain in coming 24 hours.
It was warned by the department on Wednesday that heavy downpour may trigger flash floods and landslides in vulnerable areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
According to the department, rain-thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds is expected at a number of places in Kashmir, Punjab and Islamabad in coming 24 hours, while at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, upper Sindh; Sukkur and Larkana divisions, eastern Balochistan; Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
On Wednesday, different roads and streets in Lahore were inundated due to an early morning shower.
