Four killed as dumper rams into motorcycle, rickshaw in Lahore's Daroghawala

Crane's driver fled the scene after mishap while police personnel have launched probe into matter.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least four people were killed as dumper working on Orange Line Train project collided with motorcycle and rickshaw in Lahore’s Daroghawala, reported on Sunday.

The injured were immediately shifted to the Services Hospital for further medical assistance where the doctors said that one of the wounded persons is in critical condition.

The dumper’s driver fled the scene after the mishap however, police personnel have launched an investigation into the matter to nab the culprit.



The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Amjad, 10-year-old Nauman and 28-year-old a passerby.

Deadly accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.

Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
