Special prayers were offered in churches across the country for PM's speedy recovery

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif shall be undergoing an open-heart surgery in the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday. The entire Pakistani nation is praying for his quick recovery and return back to the country, reported Dunya News on Sunday.

Social media users in the country through their posts and tweets have prayed for the long life and good health of the Prime Minister.

The hashtag ‘Tu Jiyay Sada Nawaz Sharif’ (May you live long Nawaz Sharif) remained as the the top trend on social media website Twitter whereas many users uploaded their videos in which they prayed for the health and long life of PM Nawaz.

Special prayers were offered in various churches as the Pakistani Christian community living within the country and abroad celebrated the ‘Day of prayer’ while praying for the speedy recovery of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

International leaders are also praying for the PM’s health as Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and Afghan president Ashraf Ghani expressed their best wishes for PM Nawaz in their tweets.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also prayed for success of the PM’s surgery. Other political rivals including the Chaudhary brothers belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan have also prayed for PM’s quick recovery.

President Mamnoon Hussain contacted PM Nawaz through a telephone call and inquired about his health and prayed for him as well. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif reached London and requested the entire nation to pray for the Prime Minister.
