India demands consular access to Kulbhushan Yadav
Pakistan optimistic for meaningful dialogue with India, says Aizaz Chaudhary
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a meeting held between the two Foreign Secretaries of the two countries, India demanded that Pakistan grants it consular access to Kulbhushan Yadav, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) spy who was apprehended in Balochistan, reported Dunya News.
Pakistani Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhary met with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar on Tuesday in New Delhi and had discussion in regards to a number of issues. Indian authorities accepted Yadav as an Indian citizen and demanded consular access to the spy. The matter remained the center of discussion during the meeting. He added that Pakistan is optimistic for meaningful dialogue with India.
Chaudhary admitted that the talks were crucial however he added that India did not provide any final dates in regards to the negotiations taking place between the two countries.
He added that the Kashmir issue along with Pakistan’s access to the culprits of the Samjhota Express incident were other matters that were discussed in the meeting.
