LAHORE (Dunya News) – Fake pir was arrested in Saggian area after Dunya News highlighted torture of a girl at his hands as part of exorcism, Dunya News reported Friday.
An alleged exorcist beat a young girl so that she gets ‘good marriage proposals.’
Reportedly, sister of the victimized girl had brought her to the culprit from Kamoke for ‘spiritual treatment’ as she was getting no suitors.

Culprit asks the girl to rub her nose on ground to cast the evil spirit out
Bogus pir stated that the girl was under the influence of an evil spirit. The criminal, along with accomplices baton charged the girl until she begged for mercy.
Police have launched a hunt for criminal’s elder brother. The arrested pir termed the episode a propaganda and stated that the girl was abusive upon which her sister was asked to take hold of her but she could not.

On the other hand, Punjab government promised crackdown against such pirs several times in the past but nothing has been done in this regard.
