PM' family should bring back offshore wealth to nation, says Tehmina Durrani.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Tehmina Durrani, wife of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif, Tuesday broke her silence on the Panama Leaks case involving Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s two sons Hassan and Hussain and his daughter and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz.

Durrani, also a social activist, expressed her views in tweets on social media website twitter. She stated that according to her point of view, keeping offshore accounts was an unethical act.

Durrani stated that doing something against the law was illegal while unethical acts were similar to selling you soul, the latter being a more grave offence.

Durrani went a step further and advised the Sharif family that the only way PM’s family could distant themselves from the allegations was to bring back the money saved in offshore accounts and foreign countries to Pakistan. She added that the family should opt for a simpler way of life by returning the wealth to the nation and keep Quaid-e-Azam as an example.

Durrani further stated that if she was rich, her riches would have been god’s wealth which she would have reserved for the poor and the destitute of the nation.

The social activist stated that seeing her name in the media amongst the list of those who were extremely rich, in this poverty-stricken country, was embarrassing for her.
