Road mishap in Gaggo Mandi kills two, injures 12
The officers stated the accident was caused due to high speed.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least two people were killed while 12 other sustained injuries in Gaggo Mandi road mishap today (Sunday).
A speeding passenger bus collided with van coming from opposite side near Haji Chowk at Lahore Road, killing two people and injuring 12 people.
Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and shifted the wounded people to civil hospital Gaggo Mandi for medical assistance.
The officers stated the accident was caused due to high speed.
Accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.
Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
