Pervez Khattak spent Rs. 25 million from exchequer during 6 months
Preacher of simplicity spent Rs. 25 million during 6 months at CM Secretariat as entertainment funds
PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak has spent Rs. 25 million as entertainment funds on tea and gifts during 6 months at CM Secretariat, reported Dunya News.
Although KP CM preaches simplicity in his speeches, he hasn’t been able to walk his talk since he spent Rs. 25 million during 6 months only. A total of Rs. 40 million was allotted for the entertainment purposes in 2015-16 but 25 million have already been spent and it’s been 6 months only. This amount was spent on nothing but mere biscuits and tea.
How could KP Governor stay behind who spent the entire 2 million rupees budget allotted for the same purpose for Governor House within just 6 months?
Provincial minister Aneesa Zaib is, however, of the opinion that the current expenditure is still below that of the previous governments.
But KP Governor and CM are not the only people who have been so affluent in their expenditure. KP assembly also freely spent the public money. Out of the 3 million rupees spent during the 6 months, KP assembly spent Rs. 200,000 on biscuits alone.
The least amount spent for entertainment purposes was by Rescue 1122 that spent only Rs. 5000 in this head.
