China expresses concern over Pakistan's internal conflicts on CPEC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chinese Embassy Spokesperson said on Saturday that China is concerned over conflicts among political parties of Pakistan on the issue on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), reported Dunya News.
According to the details, the conflicts among political parties of Pakistan on the issue of CPEC is making China uneasy and the spokesperson of Chinese Embassy in Islamabad issued a statement on the topic that said China is hoping that Pakistani lawmakers will soon resolve the issue.
The statement also mentioned that there is consensus between Pakistan and China about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor China has expressed the confidence that congenial atmosphere would be created between the relevant parties in Pakistan for completion of CPEC. Chinese Embassy spokesman said in Islamabad on Saturday that there is consensus between Pakistan and China about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor .The spokesperson said China is ready to cooperate closely with Pakistan for early implementation of the mega project.

All Parties Conference (APC) demanded the federal government to remove the reservations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) issue, reported Dunya News.
To know the actual situation of the CPEC, a seven-member committee was set up in the APC including Pervez Khattak, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and Mehmood Khan Achakzai. According to a statement issued after the APC, the participants agreed that the recently formed committee would directly hold meeting with the prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif for addressing the reservations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Speaking on this occasion, the CM KP said that the PM knew the importance of the issue. He said that how could they give suggestion when there is no mention of gas, LNG and electricity projects in the corridor.

Planning Minister Dr. Ahsan Iqbal could not satisfy the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the issue of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. He attended a meeting in Governor House Peshawar, chaired by Governor KP Mehtab Ahmed Khan, reported Dunya News.
He categorically stated that no province or area is being neglected in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Ahsan Iqbal said no industrial zone has been set up so far. Energy is the main requirement for an industrial zone.
To a question, he said a detailed reply has been given to Pervez Khattak s thirteen-point letter. Addressing various functions in Peshawar, the Planning Minister said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a transformation project that will benefit all provinces, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA and AJK.
He said political coherence needs to be developed for its successful execution.
He said the project is not related to one government or a political party. It will run up to 2030 and it must not be politicised.
Chief Minister (CM) KP set up a 3-member committee to work on solving the conflicts on the issue of CPEC that includes Speaker Asad Qaiser, Senior Minister Innayatullah and opposition leader Lutfurrehman.
