Abid Sher Ali announced re-opening of open courts as complaints regarding over-billing have surfaced

LAHORE (Dunya News) - State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said on Saturday that atleast 100 MW electricity is being included in the system due to Nandipur power project whereas zero percent loadshedding is being conducted in the industries country-wide.

While talking to media in Wapda House, he said that false propaganda is being done against the project as the government is producing electricity from it as needed.

On the directions of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Abid Sher Ali also announced the re-opening of open courts as complaints regarding over-billing have surfaced recently.

While talking about power-cut duration, the minister stated that six hours loadshedding in the urban and eight hours in the rural areas is being carried out.

Abid Sher Ali said that increased loadshedding is being done due to the line losses and power theft in various areas.
