Imran rejoices as Shah Mehmood confirms not leaving PTI, dispels rumours

Dunya News

Khan severely criticized PPP and PML-N saying that PTI was the only federal political party.

Umerkot (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday heaved a sigh of relief and rejoiced on the news as PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced that he was not leaving PTI and dispelled all rumours related to his position. Khan severely criticized Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), addressing its Chairman Bilawal Bhutto as "kid" and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) advising that PTI was the only federal political party.

The PTI Chairman reached the city of Umarkot, a city brimming with the followers of Qureshi and expressed his view while addressing a crowd in the city.

During the address, Khan stated that all the other provinces will soon start following KP. In his address here, Imran said that the minorities will be given equal rights in the ‘Naya Pakistan’. “We will give minorities the rights and even the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will feel shame of his attitude”, he said. “Everyone knows how India is treating Muslims and Christians. But we will take care of the minorities in Pakistan”, he added.

PTI Chairman said that rich will be taxed under his government and poverty will be eliminated from KP. “We will correct the schools and hospitals in KP. I want every hospital in KP to be like Shaukat Khanum and Agha Khan hospitals”, said Imran. He said that the police stations should be providing justice instead of injustice but the police in Sindh and Punjab are helping the ruling parties contest elections. “Not a single fake FIR can be registered in a KP police station because police safeguard people there”, he said.

Talking about the success of KP police, Imran said that a sitting minister was sent to jail in KP. “How many powerful people were caught in Sindh and Punjab? Government is taking loans worth billions of dollars and every Pakistani today is under loan worth Rs 110,000. 50% tax is being charged on diesel price. Taxes worth Rs. 40 billion will now be added to pay back the recently taken loan. This is what I call the ‘system of injustice’”, he said.

Comparing the local body system in KP with that of Sindh and Punjab, PTI Chairman said that Sindh and Punjab local bodies will be given no powers. He said that the people of KP will be able to take their own decisions but all the decisions in Sindh and Punjab will be taken by their chief ministers. “The time is near when all the other provinces will be following the development model of KP. KP government planted the largest number of trees since the inception of Pakistan. We have planted 10 jungles like Chhanga Manga in KP but the forests have been destroyed in the rest of the country”, said Khan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has on Thursday said that freedom from the ruling mafia demands sacrifices from the people. He said that handful of people are creating hurdles in the way of change, reported Dunya News.

Earlier on, addressing a public meeting for local body election campaign in Hyderabad, Imran Khan said that freedom from the ruling mafia would demand sacrifices and that a handful of people are creating hurdles in the way of change . Imran said that PML-N and PPP have been ruling in turns for several years. He said that the ruling parties enjoy police’s help in the elections.

“This system has no future in this country. The time for changing of fortunes has come”, said Imran. He said that Sindh alone can take the country forward and only a handful of people are creating hurdles in the way of change.

Imran Khan said that PPP has ruled 6 times during the last 30 years. “I haven’t come here for making false promises. Crime rate has dropped by 70% during the last one year in ‘Naya Pakistan’”, he said. He added that there is no political interference in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa’s (KP) system.
