Fayyaz Ul Hassan swears over Quran, blames Sheikh Rasheed for removal
He expressed hope of having an audience with the PTI chief so he could tell his side of the story
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan on Sunday swore over Quran to proclaim his innocence and claimed that Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed is behind his removal from the party positions, Dunya News reported.
The PTI leader was accused of taking bribe to influence the process of distribution of party tickets for the local body election. He has sent a video message swearing over Quran and proclaiming his innocence to the PTI chief with whom he is seeking an audience.
Chohan was removed from key party positions i.e. Deputy Information Secretary and Organiser NA 56 Rawalpindi a few days ago by PTI chief over violation of party discipline.
The PTI leader was accused of taking Rs 5 lakh for party tickets from as many as 4 candidates. He denied the allegations and expressed regret that the party chief did not hear him before issuing the directive of his removal.
Chohan termed his removal a conspiracy against the party and blamed AML chief for it. He also sent the videos of the candidates in question vouching for him.
He expressed the hope of having an audience with the PTI chief so he could tell his side of the story.
