Kerry assures additional aid for flood recovery

US Senator John F. Kerry said that flood was Pakistans as well as international challenge. He said that Pakistan would be provided additional aid to Pakistan along with Kerry-Lugar Bill for flood recovery. In a joint press conference with President Asif Ali Zardari, John Kerry said that President Obama was taking personal interest in rehabilitation of Pakistan flood affectees. He urged that food and other facilities should be provided to the victims on priority basis. He said that estimate of losses cant be made on media reports. He said that UN General Assembly meeting was being held especially for Pakistan flood recovery. resident Asif Ali Zardari said Thursday the world must act swiftly to stop militants exploiting the countrys devastating floods and to prevent social unrest. President Zardari said that flood affectees would be provided full support. He said that flood victims would be properly rehabilitated. President Zardari said the world is slowly and gradually realizing that it is not a one day job, it is not a one country issue, it is an huge problem and its a huge catastrophe adding I think the world is standing with us.He said that calamity of such a high scale cant be addressed in a day. He said that new Pakistan would be built with unity. S Senator John Kerry was arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday night to personally review the damage caused by devastating floods.
