Elections are nowhere near as yet but PML-N candidates already feel they are chairmen

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – The ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) local body elections’ candidates have already started putting up the plates of their names on the development projects in Punjab, addressing themselves as chairmen and vice chairmen though the elections have not even been held as yet, reported Dunya News.

In one of the unique constituencies of Lahore, where the elections have not even been held but the ruling party candidates have already started putting up their names on the development projects. In Babu Sabu area of Lahore, the campaign of PML-N candidates, Muhammad Ashraf for Chairman and Muhammad Mushtaq for Vice Chairman, is being run by the members of the assembly.

MNA Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad and MPA Mian Marghoob Ahmad attended the inaugural ceremony of a school where the plates of the names of the candidates was put up amid beats of drum. In the ceremony held on September 20, the candidates have already been addressed as the chairman and vice chairman.

On this blatant violation of the code of conduct by the members of assembly, opposing candidate Shabbir Ahmad has moved Election Commission and requested disqualification of the PML-N candidates.
