Azad Kashmir: Health department employees on strike for 5th day
Hospitals' system paralyzed, patients facing serious problems in absence of health staff
MUZAFFARABAD: (Dunya News) – Health departments employees are on strike for the 5th day in Azad Kashmir protesting for health allowance. The system in the government hospitals has been completely paralyzed while the patients forced to move to Abbotabad and Rawalpindi for treatment, reported Dunya News.
The employees of the health departments are on strike for the last 5 days. Those visiting the hospitals for getting treatment are not being looked after at all while most of the patients brought to the hospital are women and children.
On the other hand, the employees of the health department are demanding issuance of health allowance notification. The employees have threatened to boycott the polio campaign starting from September 14 if their demands are not accepted. However, the government is completely silent over the issue.
