"US and Pakistan face similar terrorist threats": John Kirby
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – United States (US) State Department Spokesperson John Kirby on Friday stated that US will continue its co-operation with Pakistan for the fight against terrorism. In an answer to a question, Kirby stated that no decision of stopping military aid to Pakistan army had been made. He stated that question of military aid is under the jurisdiction of the Defense department.
The State Department’s Spokesperson expressed these view during a media briefing in Washington.
Kirby stated that both the US and Pakistan face similar terrorist threats. He also stated that Pakistan had paid the heaviest price in the war against terrorism. He also stated that Pakistan has had to sacrifice its soldiers and citizens in this fight against terrorism. Kirby also stated that there was no change in US’ stance regarding Pakistan.
