General Raheel has shown the world that Pakistan possesses power to fight back.

(Web Desk) – Happy birthday to the real hero of Pakistan. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has turned 59 today (Tuesday).

General Raheel was born on June 16, 1956 in Quetta to a family of prominent military background. His father was Major Muhammad Sharif however his eldest brother Major Shabbir Sharif received Nishan-e-Haider during Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

General Raheel is the nephew of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti who was awarded with Nishan-e-Haider during Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.

Keeping in view the valor of General Raheel, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif appointed him as 15th Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army on November 27, 2013. COAS launched operation Zarb-e-Azb, pledging to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the state.
