Report clearly states that there was no rigging proved in NA-122, says Pervaiz Rashid

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has on Saturday said that the forensic report of NA-122, submitted by NADRA before election tribunal, has vindicated PTI’s stance on rigging. Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that the report clearly states that no rigging was found in NA-122, reported Dunya News.

NADRA’s report has stated that 93,852 votes remained unverified. At the same time, it has also stated that the thumb impressions were not verified because of the poor quality otherwise the National Identity Card (NIC) numbers mentioned on the counterfoils were valid CNIC.

This has allowed both the PTI and the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) to extract meanings from the report that would favor them.

In Twitter messages, Imran Khan said that less than 40% of the votes were verified. He said that this has exposed massive level rigging. He said that the nation now knows how Speaker Ayaz Sadiq won the election; with thousands of fake votes.

On the other hand, Pervaiz Rashid said that Imran Khan should read the report with care. “NADRA’s report clearly states that no rigging was found in NA-122”, he said. He said that the 51 fake votes must have been casted in PTI’s favor. He said that PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari inherited her habit of lying from her leader. Pervaiz Rashid said that in Karachi’s by-election, PTI’s rigging was exposed.
