Court reprimands investigation officer over incomplete challan against Ayyan Ali
The case hearing has been adjourned till May 8.
RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – The banking court on Tuesday reprimanded the investigation officer over incomplete challan against supermodel Ayyan Ali in the money laundering case, Dunya News reported.
Judge Sabir Sultan has directed the investigation officer to present full challan by May 8.
During case proceedings, counsel for Customs told court that challan could not be completed against the accused because data of currency smuggling is being retrieved from Dubai.
Susequently, the court directed the investigation team to present complete challan in the next hearing on May 8.
Ayyan Ali was arrested by customs officials on March 14 from Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad after $508,000 were recovered from her possession.
