Altaf Hussain offers PTI to hold rally at Jinnah Ground
He also asked the PTI leadership to ensure the sanctity of Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has invited Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) to conduct their procession at Jinnah Ground, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, Altaf Hussain appealed both MQM and PTI to refrain from any sort of confrontation and provocation.
He also asked the PTI leadership to ensure the sanctity of Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
Altaf Hussain expressed grief and sorrow over last day incident and said that they want to hold peaceful and just
elections.
He said that PTI should rally somewhere else other than Jinnah ground whereas MQM will fully cooperate with them but if PTI insists on conducting the procession at Jinnah Ground than the sanctity of Yadgar-e-Shuhada should be taken care of and opportunity should be provided to MQM for its enduring arrangement.
MQM Chief has requested Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad Khan, Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to call on an emergency meeting of both the parties and formulate a code of conduct for bye-election.
He also urged to establish a commission comprising of officials of Election Commission (EC) who submits report of code of conduct violations to Chief Election Commissioner.
