The government's focus on electoral reforms has faded after the PTI sit-in ended, states Shah

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Monday has written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif congratulating him on the establishment of judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in the General Elections 2013.

According to the details, Shah also stated that the government’s focus on electoral reforms has faded after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sit-in ended. He has demanded the PM to call All Party Conference (APC) regarding electoral reforms.

He stated that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has denounced apolitical and undemocratic measures from the beginning as they are not in favour of the national interest. He has urged PM Nawaz to complete the process of implementation of electoral reforms after discussing the matter with other parties. He further urged the Electoral Reforms Committee to put forth its recommendations as soon as possible.
