Security forces foil major terror bid in Balochistan
At least nine suspects have been arrested by the security personnel.
PANJGUR (Dunya News)— The security forces foiled a major terror plot on Monday morning as they seized a huge cache of arms and explosives from Balochistan’s distict Panjgur. At least nine suspects have been arrested by the security personnel.
During an operation in Balochistan’s district Panjgur, the FC seized five thousand kilograms of heavy explosive materials and arms including hand grenades and kalashnikovs. Nine terror suspects have also been arrested from the spot.
The provincial Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said that the working relation between the provincial government and the army is favorable to fight against terrorism. The separatists want to dismantle Pakistan, he remarked.
He also said that the Islamic State has no presence in Pakistan adding that walk chalking won’t make any difference. He claimed that RAW and Afghan Intelligence agencies are promoting terrorism in Balochistan but the government of Pakistan is determined to foil any terror attacks in the country. It is not easy to control the tense situation at the Afghan border; however, we hope that soon peace will prevail in Afghanistan, said Bugti.
