PM Nawaz terms China visit a 'game changer', leaves for home
PM vowed to compensate losses allegedly incurred by sit-in protests.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Sunday concluded his China visit and said that his recent visit is a ‘game changer’. He said the Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed with China will help compensate for the loss allegedly incurred due to the sit-in protests in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.
Pakistan and China had signed as many as 19 MOUs worth billions of dollars on Saturday. These MOUs include Pak-China economic corridor, energy projects including Thar coal mining, power plants, hydel power projects, Muzaffargarh power project, wind power project and solar power project among other technical assistance.
During his China visit, PM met Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and President Xi Jinping in which views on matters of mutual interests including regional politics and bilateral cooperation were discussed.
