5.5 magnitude quake jolts Peshawar

Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand and Shangla on early Sunday morning.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 on Richter scale jolted different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on early Sunday morning.
 

According to the Meteorological Office, the tremors were felt in Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Shangla and adjacent areas. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush Mountains in Afghanistan.
 

The tremors panicked the residents who immediately came out of their homes, however there are no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
