Sirajul Haq resigns as KP's senior minister

Reportedly, Jamaat chief resigned so that he could give more time to Jamaat.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Wednesday stepped down from his post as Senior Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Jamaat chief wishes to designate more time towards managing his party affairs.
Sirajul Haq had taken charge as Jamaat chief a few months ago and had excused himself from continuing as Finance Minister of the province. However, following his meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Jamaat chief had postponed his resignation.
Reportedly, PTI chief had expressed his wish for Sirajul Haq to stay as the minister until the budget of the current fiscal year is finalized.
After the conclusion of provincial-budget related tasks, JI chief met Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak and presented his resignation, while expressing his wish for the provincial government’s policies to continue.
