Mumbai attack case: Ajmal Kasab is alive, teacher reveals in court

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A teacher has told the court that he doesn’t know about the Ajmal Kasab who was was executed in India, adding that the real Ajmal was alive.
One of the school teachers who provided the record of Ajmal Kasab, Mudassar Lakhvi appeared before the Islamabad anti-terrorism court in Mumbai attack case on Thursday.
Mudassar emphasized that he met Kasab few days back, reiterating that he was alive.
Raising objection over the statement of the school teacher, prosecutor said that Mudassar was the relative of the accused, therefore, he was aiding them. He requested the court to allow him for another cross-examination.
Meanwhile, Muddassar said that Ajmal Kasab could be produced in court if need be.
The sole surviving gunman Ajmal Kasab from the 2008 Mumbai attacks was executed in November 2012, nearly four years after 166 people were killed in a three-day rampage through India s financial capital.
Kasab was hanged at Yerwada jail in Pune in the western state of Maharashtra after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his pleas for mercy earlier this month.
